The best part of the zoo...playing in the water when everyone is hot and sweaty!
After we were at the zoo all day we decided to come home, throw some clothes in a bag and head to the cabin! Here is what is so wonderful about the cabin, everything else but your family is gone. There is no internet, we put our phones away, no bills, no gym to go to, no work, no cleaning, no shopping to do or house projects to get done. The only thing to do up there is spend time together as a family and it's great!
This time we took the boys canoeing and they loved it!

Ron and Uncle Zac built this great playground at the cabin and it has been a wonderful addition! The boys can't get enough of it.
Okay family members, doesn't this look amazingly like Dan's pictures when he was a child? I think so!

oh my goodness! I love Caleb's haircut! He looks so grown up! I love the pictures at the zoo and the river. so fun! I wish we were there with you guys!
So much fun! In response to your comment on my blog: No one has told me that he looks like Becky, but I can actually see it now that you mention it. I've always just looked for Matthias and I in his face. Anyway, Matthias is done working with the judge up here next fall so after that it's up to wherever the money is. I'm hoping somewhere warm...maybe Texas? How much fun would it be to live close by to you? I'd love that!
